The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus PE100 monobloc tapping saddle with integrated Gas-Stop is built for live under-pressure tapping of natural gas distribution mains. It fits main pipe diameters from d63 mm to d250 mm in SDR 11, covering pipe SDR classes 9 to 26, and carries a 360 degrees rotatable spigot outlet in d32 mm or d63 mm, so the branch direction is set on site without repositioning the saddle.

The pre-assembled Pipelife Type S Gas-Stop cartridge (GS 32/200 UE or GS 63/200 UE) shuts the branch down automatically if the downstream line is ruptured or damaged. It works across an operating pressure range of 200 mbar to 5 bar (0.2 to 5 bar) and handles flow rates up to 3,000 l/min, with an integrated overflow orifice that allows controlled re-pressurisation once the fault is cleared.

The body is moulded from 100% virgin PE100 resin approved by the PE100+ Association, in RAL 9005 black, giving high resistance to environmental stress cracking and to the mechanical loads of buried service. The electrofusion interface uses 4 mm connector pins and limited-path fusion indicators for immediate visual confirmation of the weld, while the long spigot outlet leaves room for electrofusion or butt fusion clamping. The threaded cap is sealed with an internal elastomer O-ring, and permanent embossed barcodes with batch markings keep every component traceable.
