The Georg Fischer ecoFIT union in PE100 (SDR17, PN10) is an industrial thermoplastic fitting for process lines that must be opened periodically for inspection, cleaning or equipment maintenance. Moulded from virgin high-density PE100 resin, it delivers a separable, leak-tight joint in pressure networks conveying process water, industrial effluents and aggressive chemical media. Supplied across Europe by BigWeld, an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, the ecoFIT range brings high manufacturing accuracy to welded installations that need detachable sections at pumps, flow meters and valves.

Both spigot ends are compatible with conventional butt fusion according to DVS 2207 and with contactless IR Plus infrared welding, so the union integrates directly into an existing PE100 line without adapters. The union nut is injection moulded in glass fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) for high mechanical rigidity and dimensional stability under sustained operating loads, while sealing is handled by an FKM (fluoroelastomer) O-ring that resists acids, aggressive chemicals and elevated temperatures where standard elastomers degrade.

The d75, d90 and d110 mm variants cover DN65, DN80 and DN100. Outer diameter (Do) runs from 137.6 to 160.7 mm, maximum assembled length (Lmax) from 134 to 139 mm and wall thickness (s1) from 4.5 to 6.7 mm, matching SDR17 geometry at a 10 bar nominal pressure rating. Production is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
