The Georg Fischer ecoFIT PE100 union fitting (SDR11, PN10) provides a robust, fully demountable joint engineered specifically for industrial polyethylene piping systems. Designed for spigot diameters of d75 mm, d90 mm, and d110 mm, this fitting enables secure mechanical disconnection points along pipeline runs, facilitating straightforward maintenance, valve servicing, and equipment changeouts without requiring pipe cutting.

Manufactured from high-density polyethylene PE100, the fitting assembly comprises two spigot fusion ends, an EPDM elastomeric O-ring seal, and a heavy-duty union nut molded from glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF). The composite nut provides exceptional mechanical stability and resistance to cyclic stresses, while the profiled EPDM O-ring delivers reliable radial sealing under continuous operating pressures up to 10 bar (PN10) at 20 degrees Celsius.

Joining versatility is a core engineering feature of the ecoFIT system. The spigot ends are fully compatible with conventional butt fusion welding according to DVS 2207 standard parameters as well as contactless IR Plus infrared fusion technology. The IR Plus process ensures repeatable weld bead geometry, reduced cooling cycles, and clean joint execution, making this union particularly suitable for high-purity process lines and industrial utilities.

Engineered for chemical process distribution, industrial water and wastewater treatment, cooling water loops, and utility headers, the PE100 ecoFIT union exhibits excellent chemical resistance against a wide range of aggressive media, acids, and alkalis, preventing scale deposition and corrosion throughout its service life.
