Georg Fischer ecoFIT diaphragm valve type 514 provides linear throttling and tight shut-off in industrial polyethylene piping systems, featuring long spigot ends in PE100 SDR11 engineered for jointing via conventional butt fusion, infrared welding, and electrofusion. Designed with an optimised internal body geometry that delivers double the flow rate compared to predecessor models, the valve significantly reduces head loss and optimizes pumping energy across chemical processing, water treatment, and industrial fluid distribution lines. Actuation is performed manually via an ergonomic handwheel equipped with an integrated locking mechanism, ensuring reliable retention of the chosen setpoint and preventing unintentional position adjustments caused by plant vibrations. The housing architecture replaces traditional four-bolt bonnet assemblies with a single central housing nut, allowing rapid dismantling, internal inspection, and membrane maintenance without disassembling the valve body from the pipeline. Fitted with a resilient EPDM diaphragm and manufactured with a compact face-to-face length, the unit ensures bubble-tight bidirectional isolation even in aggressive or abrasive fluid media. Rated for operating pressures up to 10 bar (with optional 16 bar configuration), the modular design supports easy retrofitting with self-adjusting multifunctional modules and integrated limit switches for automated position feedback. Fabricated from industrial-grade PE100, the valve provides high resistance to chemical degradation, stress cracking, and atmospheric exposure for extended service life.
