Dismantling Joint PN10 DN200-DN600
The dismantling joint is a flanged, axially adjustable fitting installed wherever a valve, flow meter or pump has to be taken out of a pipeline without cutting it. Fitted between two fixed flanges, it is closed down onto the mating faces during assembly and then extended or retracted on its tie rods, absorbing flange-to-flange tolerance and giving the installer the clearance needed to lift the equipment out. This range covers DN200 to DN600 in seven sizes at a nominal pressure of PN10 and is designed to EN545.
Both body halves are cast in EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron, the grade used throughout the Blucast valve and fitting programme, with a gasket sealing the sliding spigot inside the housing. The complete assembly is protected by a powder epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 micron in RAL 5015, applied on Blucast's own automatic dip coating, assembly and testing lines; the epoxy is WRAS approved for contact with drinking water. The tie rods and nuts that lock the joint at its set length are hot-dip galvanised, so the external hardware matches the corrosion resistance of the coated castings in buried and chamber installations.
- Body material: EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron
- Nominal pressure: PN10
- Size range: DN200 to DN600, seven sizes
- Coating: powder epoxy, min. 250 micron, RAL 5015, WRAS approved
- Bolting: hot-dip galvanised tie rods and nuts
- Design standard: EN545
- Manufacturer warranty: 7 years
Typical applications are drinking water supply and distribution, pumping stations, treatment plants, booster sets and metering chambers, where gate valves, butterfly valves and meters are serviced on a fixed flanged run. Blucast manufactures under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, applies CE marking across the range and keeps dismantling joints in stock up to DN1200, so larger sizes outside this listing can be quoted on request. BigWeld supplies the Blucast programme as an authorised Blucast dealer.
