The Georg Fischer DIASTAR TenPlus pneumatic diaphragm valve in industrial post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) is engineered for precise fluid regulation and reliable isolation in demanding chemical and industrial processing installations. The integrated pneumatic fail-safe to close (FC) actuator shuts the valve automatically on loss of pilot air pressure, protecting downstream equipment and the wider piping network.

The hydrodynamic body geometry delivers double the flow coefficient of earlier diaphragm valve generations, reducing pressure drop across the line while maintaining a uniform flow profile over the entire stroke. The body is produced in industrial PVC-C in agate grey (RAL 7038) for high mechanical rigidity and thermal endurance up to 80 degrees Celsius under working pressure, with high chemical stability against aggressive acids, concentrated alkalis, salts and oxidising media.

The TenPlus design replaces conventional multi-bolt bonnet assemblies with a single central housing nut. This eliminates uneven bolt torque, prevents localised diaphragm pinching and allows the diaphragm to be inspected or replaced without removing the body from the pipeline. Supplied by BigWeld, an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, the valve has true union ends with metric solvent cement sockets to DIN and ISO dimensional standards, in diameters from 20 to 63 mm. The pilot air ports are rotatable through 90 degrees, giving flexibility when routing pneumatic control tubing in congested plant skids or manifold cabinets.

Bidirectional service is rated up to PN10 (10 bar) at 20 degrees Celsius, with a choice of EPDM or composite PTFE/EPDM diaphragms backed by chemically resistant FKM O-rings. Typical applications include chemical distribution and dosing lines, semiconductor and microelectronics processing, electroplating and surface treatment baths, demineralised water loops and industrial wastewater neutralisation systems.
