The Georg Fischer DIASTAR Ten PVC-C pneumatic diaphragm valve covers metric outer diameters from d20 up to d63 (DN15 to DN50), engineered for demanding industrial piping installations handling aggressive fluids. Manufactured from premium chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) in agate grey RAL 7038, the valve provides chemical inertness against harsh acids and alkalis alongside elevated thermal stability up to 80 degrees Celsius under working pressure. Rated for a nominal pressure of 10 bar (PN10 at 20 degrees Celsius), it incorporates true union connections with metric solvent cement sockets, enabling rapid installation, radial removal, and straightforward maintenance without displacing adjacent pipe spools.

Actuation is governed by a pneumatic Fail-Safe-to-Close (FC) mechanism integrated in a robust glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) housing. Upon loss or venting of control air, preloaded internal springs immediately return the diaphragm against the valve weir, creating a bubble-tight seal that isolates the pipeline and prevents unintended flow. The actuator air supply port can be rotated in 90 degrees intervals to accommodate versatile compressed air routing in compact plant layouts. Rather than relying on traditional multi-bolt bonnet patterns, the DIASTAR Ten incorporates a central housing nut that applies perfectly uniform compressive force around the diaphragm perimeter, eliminating localized stress points and prolonging service life.

Optimized internal flow geometry delivers up to double the flow coefficient of previous diaphragm generations, significantly decreasing system pressure drop and pumping energy demand. Fitted with chemically inert EPDM or composite PTFE/EPDM diaphragms, the valve ensures absolute hermetic isolation between aggressive process media and operating components.
