The Georg Fischer DIASTAR Ten DA is a pneumatically actuated diaphragm valve with a PVC-C body, designed for automated regulation and shut-off of aggressive media in industrial process lines. The double-acting (DA) actuator drives the diaphragm pneumatically in both directions, so opening and closing are both powered and the valve holds its commanded position as long as control air is supplied. The valve is rated PN10 and is delivered with metric solvent cement spigots in diameters d20 to d63, which allows it to be bonded straight into existing PVC-C pipework without adaptors or transition fittings.

Compared with the preceding diaphragm valve generation, the Ten body geometry achieves double the flow rate while keeping the compact face-to-face length defined by EN 558, so automated loops can be built in shorter manifolds and tighter skids. A central housing nut replaces the four traditional bonnet screws, reducing diaphragm replacement to a single fastening point and shortening maintenance stops. The air connection can be rotated through 90 degrees, which gives freedom in routing the control tubing whatever the mounting orientation of the valve.

Two diaphragm versions are available: EPDM for general industrial water, dilute acids and alkalis, and PTFE/EPDM for chemically more demanding duties; both work with FKM seals. PVC-C extends the temperature and chemical resistance envelope well beyond PVC-U, which makes the DIASTAR Ten DA suitable for chemical dosing and distribution, demineralised and ultra-pure water, water and wastewater treatment, electroplating and surface treatment lines, and microelectronics production.
