The Georg Fischer DIASTAR Series 025 FC is a pneumatically actuated diaphragm valve with fail-safe-to-close action, built for automated flow control in industrial water treatment, process cooling and utility circuits. The valve body is moulded in impact-resistant ABS, while the actuator housing uses glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF), giving the assembly chemical resistance and mechanical durability in low to medium temperature service.

Internal spring packages drive the diaphragm onto the seat whenever pneumatic control pressure is lost, so the line isolates itself without operator intervention. The range covers d75, d90 and d110 (DN65, DN80 and DN100) at nominal pressures of PN8 to PN10 at 20 degrees. The EPDM diaphragm delivers bubble-tight shut-off and elastomeric resilience, takes one-sided working pressure and tolerates media carrying abrasive suspended solids or mild chemical compounds.

Flow geometry inside the ABS body gives linear regulation characteristics with low pressure drop and minimal turbulence, limiting solids sedimentation and cavitation damage during continuous throttling or isolation duty. Connection is by integral fixed metric flanges to EN 1092, ISO 7005 and DIN 25 PN10, so the valve aligns directly with existing plastic or metallic piping using standard backing rings and bolt sets.

An optical position indicator on top of the PP-GF housing confirms valve status at a glance, and pre-configured mounting interfaces accept feedback switches, positioners or solenoid pilot valves for integration into plant control systems.
