Georg Fischer designed the COOL-FIT 4.0 T90° equal spigot tee (d250–d450 SDR11) specifically for high-capacity industrial cooling, secondary refrigeration, and process chill loops operating between -50 degrees Celsius and +60 degrees Celsius. Engineered as a fully factory pre-insulated 3-in-1 component, the fitting integrates a metric PE100 SDR11 carrier pipe, a robust closed-cell GF HE polyurethane foam insulation layer, and an impact-resistant black outer protective casing. The high-efficiency, halogen-free foam core features a closed-cell microstructure with an extremely low thermal conductivity rating of λ ≤ 0.026 W/mK at 20 degrees Celsius, providing permanent vapor-tight condensation control and reducing thermal energy losses by an average of 30 percent compared to conventional metallic lines. Built to handle a nominal working pressure of 16 bar, this equal 90-degree distribution tee ensures reliable split flow and branch management without risk of galvanic corrosion, incrustation, or performance degradation across a minimum service lifetime of 25 years. As a Type B spigot fitting with free pipe ends, it connects seamlessly into large-diameter COOL-FIT piping runs using external electrofusion couplers, requiring straightforward surface peeling of the spigot fusion zones prior to assembly. The lightweight plastic architecture delivers significant structural weight savings over carbon or stainless steel piping, facilitating faster alignment, reducing structural loads on roof headers, and ensuring non-stop cooling continuity across demanding food and beverage plants, chemical processing facilities, cold storage warehouses, and exterior HVAC chiller installations.
