Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 Bend 45° PE100 SDR17 is an engineered, factory pre-insulated spigot fitting designed for smooth directional flow adjustments in commercial refrigeration, industrial process cooling, and secondary chilled water circuits. Based on a 3-in-1 composite design, the component integrates an inner PE100 carrier pipe, a factory-injected closed-cell GF HE polyurethane foam insulation layer, and an impact-resistant, weather-stable black outer casing bonded into a single unified structure. Operating reliably at a nominal system pressure of 10 bar (PN10) across fluid temperatures ranging from -50 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, it provides a vapor-tight and moisture-proof barrier that completely eliminates condensation, thermal bridging, and the external corrosion typical of post-insulated metal networks. The halogen-free core insulation offers an optimized thermal conductivity rating of lambda 0.026 W/mK at 20 degrees Celsius, a minimum density of 70 kg/m3, and a cell size not exceeding 0.5 mm, reducing system thermal energy losses by up to 30 percent compared to traditional installations. Featuring Type B spigot geometry with extended insertion ends, the bend integrates cleanly into pipeline assemblies via metric electrofusion couplers to produce permanently sealed, homogenous joints. Engineered with zero ozone depletion potential and certified to EN 13501-1 Class E fire classification, this pre-insulated fitting delivers total incrustation resistance, lightweight structural support, and continuous 24/7 efficiency over an operational lifespan exceeding 25 years in both indoor plant rooms and exposed outdoor cooling installations.
