Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 90-degree bends in dimensions d250 to d450 SDR11 are engineered as heavy-duty, factory pre-insulated spigot fittings for secondary cooling circuits and industrial refrigeration distribution. Built around a core PE100 SDR11 metric carrier pipe rated for PN16 working pressure, each fitting incorporates a high-efficiency closed-cell polyurethane GF HE foam layer with a thermal conductivity of lambda 0.026 W/mK at 20 degrees Celsius. An impact-resistant, UV-stabilized black polyethylene outer jacket forms a robust vapor-tight envelope that permanently seals the thermal core against moisture ingress. This integrated three-in-one design guarantees long-term condensation control and eliminates the thermal bridges typical of post-insulated metallic installations. Designed specifically to handle secondary refrigerants such as water, brine, and glycol solutions across medium temperatures ranging from minus 50 degrees Celsius to plus 60 degrees Celsius, the bend provides continuous hydraulic efficiency without the risk of corrosion or internal incrustation. Configuration Type B spigot ends allow straightforward, tension-free jointing using dedicated electrofusion couplers, creating homogeneous, fully sealed joints across large-bore pipelines in cold storage, food and beverage processing, data center cooling, and rooftop chiller loops. By combining lightweight polymer construction with superior factory insulation, the component minimizes thermal transfer losses, accelerates mechanical site assembly, and delivers maintenance-free performance throughout an intended operational lifespan exceeding 25 years.
