Georg Fischer ABS solvent cement caps provide permanent, high-integrity pipe termination across metric ABS piping networks from d20 to d160 mm. Sourced through BigWeld, an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, these end caps seal pipe extremities against operating pressures from PN10 up to PN16 at 20 degrees Celsius. In industrial cooling circuits, secondary refrigeration loops, and water treatment systems, these caps act as permanent closures or dead-end terminations for future plant extensions, ensuring full pressure containment without mechanical fasteners.

Manufactured from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), the fittings maintain excellent impact resistance and ductility across low temperature ranges where other plastics become brittle. The ABS material provides reliable chemical resistance against inorganic salts, diluted acids, alkalis, and cooling brines. Metric sizing adheres to standard RAL 7001 gravel grey colouring, ensuring uniform aesthetics and chemical compatibility across process installations, including potable water systems and marine utilities.

Connection is achieved through socket solvent cementing, creating a cold chemical weld between pipe and fitting. Using Tangit ABS solvent cement along with Tangit cleaner, the polymer chains fuse into a homogeneous, leak-tight bond that matches the integrity of the pipe wall. This joint withstands hydraulic surges, pulsation, and vibration in industrial chilled water circuits.
