Ultrasonic Level Transmitter Type 2260
Fisa Tehnica Senzor.pdf | Fisa Tehnica Transmitter.pdf
The Georg Fischer Type 2260 ultrasonic level transmitter delivers continuous non-contact level measurement for industrial liquid storage tanks, process vessels and open sumps. It is a self-contained field instrument: a high-frequency acoustic pulse-echo transducer, the signal processing microprocessor and an illuminated graphic display with configuration push buttons are integrated within a single rugged enclosure.
Measurement follows the ultrasonic transit-time principle: the transmitter emits acoustic pulses that reflect off the liquid surface, and the internal electronics convert the measured transit time into exact level, distance or volume without physical contact with the media. The transducer body is available in polypropylene (PP) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for chemical resistance against aggressive acids, bases and corrosive effluents, while the narrow beam angle avoids false echoes from vessel walls, ladders or internal piping.
Standard versions provide a loop-powered 2-wire 4 to 20 mA analog output with integrated relay contacts for alarm switching, while advanced versions add the HART protocol for bi-directional digital integration and remote commissioning with PLCs. On-site configuration is completed through the graphic display and the user-friendly push buttons, without external handheld calibrators. Powered by 12 to 36 V DC, the instrument covers measuring ranges of 0.2 to 4 m, 0.25 to 6 m and 0.45 to 15 m.
- Measuring principle: non-contact ultrasonic transit-time technology
- Measuring ranges: 0.2 to 4 m, 0.25 to 6 m, 0.45 to 15 m
- Wetted transducer material: polypropylene (PP) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)
- Outputs: 2-wire 4 to 20 mA, programmable relay contacts, optional HART interface
- Display and configuration: integrated graphic screen with local push buttons
- Power supply: 12 to 36 V DC
- Acoustic profile: narrow beam angle preventing false echo interference
