Signet 2536 Paddlewheel Flow Sensor DN15-DN900
Technical Data Sheet | Technical Data Sheet | Technical Data Sheet | Technical Data Sheet
The Georg Fischer Signet 2536 paddlewheel flow sensor is an insertion instrument engineered for continuous flow velocity measurement in industrial piping systems from DN15 to DN900 (0.5 to 36 inches). Operating reliably at flow velocities from 0.1 to 6 m/s, this active sensor uses an open collector frequency output ensuring high noise immunity and dependable transmission up to 60 metres. As an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, BigWeld provides genuine Signet 2536 instrumentation for water treatment, chemical processing, and industrial utilities.
The sensor body is manufactured in polypropylene (PP) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). In PVDF assemblies, all wetted surfaces are pure PVDF, offering outstanding resistance to aggressive acids, bases, and concentrated sodium hypochlorite. Rotors are supplied in PVDF or ETFE, supported by precision pins in titanium, Hastelloy-C, stainless steel, tantalum, or ceramic. Sealing integrity is secured by dynamic FPM, EPDM, or FFKM elastomer O-rings configured for specific chemical compatibility.
Measurement accuracy achieves a linearity of plus or minus 1% of full range at 25 degrees C and repeatability of plus or minus 0.5%. The polypropylene body withstands up to 12.5 bar at 20 degrees C across an operating range of minus 18 to 85 degrees C. The PVDF body is rated for 14 bar at 20 degrees C and operating temperatures between minus 18 and 85 degrees C. Three insertion lengths (104 mm, 137 mm, and 213 mm) ensure correct hydraulic placement across pipe diameters from DN15 to DN900.
Correct immersion depth is guaranteed using authentic Georg Fischer Signet installation fittings, including tees, tapping saddles, and weldolets. Operating on 3.3 to 24 VDC with current under 20 mA, the sensor connects seamlessly to Signet 8900, 9900, and 9950 transmitters. Manufactured in accordance with CE, RoHS, and ISO 9001 standards, the unit ensures long-term industrial reliability.
