The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus 30-degree PE100 segmented elbow (SDR17, PN10) is engineered for directional changes in municipal water distribution, industrial process piping, and gas transport infrastructure. Rated for nominal operating pressures of 10 bar for water and 5 bar for gas networks at 20°C, this fabricated fitting provides smooth flow geometry that minimizes hydraulic head loss while maintaining complete structural continuity across the deflection. Manufactured in full compliance with European standards EN 12201 for water supply and EN 1555 for combustible gas conveyance, the fitting ensures reliable containment and chemical resistance in challenging buried and above-ground industrial environments.

Fabricated from high-density polyethylene PE100 virgin resin, the 30° elbow features extended spigot ends (long version) designed to interface seamlessly with both electrofusion couplers and butt fusion equipment conforming to DVS 2207 welding guidelines. The standardized spigot length (H) provides ample clamping and fusion clearance—measuring 150 mm for outer diameters d90 through d225, 250 mm for d250 and d280, and 300 mm for d315. The fabricated segmented design incorporates a nominal centerline bending radius of approximately 1.5 times the external pipe diameter (R ≈ 1.5 × De), preventing excessive turbulence, localized shear stresses, and pressure drops throughout long-term continuous operation.

The dimensional spectrum spans external diameters from d90 (DN80) up to d315 (DN300), with corresponding wall thicknesses engineered between 5.4 mm and 18.7 mm according to standard dimension ratio SDR17 tolerances. Across the range, overall maximum lengths (Lmax) scale proportionally from 246 mm to 545 mm. The PE100 compound demonstrates outstanding mechanical reliability, characterized by a density of approximately 0.95 g/cm³, a tensile elastic modulus of 900 N/mm², and a Charpy notched impact strength of 83 kJ/m² at 23°C, providing exceptional resistance to rapid crack propagation and environmental stress cracking.
