The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus 15 degrees elbow in PE100 SDR17 is an electrofusion fitting engineered for precise low-angle direction changes in pressurised municipal and industrial utility networks. Produced from virgin PE100 polyethylene resin, this long-version welded fitting is rated at a nominal working pressure of 10 bar (PN10) in potable water and wastewater distribution and 5 bar in natural gas infrastructure, with outer diameters from d90 mm to d315 mm (DN80 to DN300).

A gentle 15 degrees deviation lets the pipeline follow field route contours and trench elevation changes without introducing unnecessary stress or excessive turbulence, keeping the hydraulic flow profile optimised. The extended straight spigots make the fitting fully compatible with the Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus electrofusion system through electrofusion couplers, and also permit direct butt fusion welding into matching SDR17 PE100 piping strings. The spigot length provides ample clamping area for alignment tools and scraping equipment, giving consistent melt zones and high weld integrity on site.

Depending on the nominal diameter, wall thickness (s1) ranges from 5.0 mm to 19.0 mm and the maximum overall length (Lmax) from 206 mm to 431 mm. The PE100 compound has a density of approximately 0.95 g/cm³, a tensile elastic modulus of 900 N/mm² and a Charpy notched impact strength of 83 kJ/m² at 23 °C, so its resistance to slow crack growth prevents brittle failure under ground movement or dynamic pressure surges. Each fitting is integrated into the Georg Fischer Track & Trace system, with unique identification and fusion barcodes recording the production batch and welding parameters for digital asset management.
