The Georg Fischer Type 595 PVC-C ventilating valve is an engineered aeration and vacuum relief solution designed for industrial piping networks handling aggressive media. Operating at a nominal pressure rating of PN16 (16 bar at 20 degrees Celsius), this valve safeguards pipelines against vacuum collapse during drainage, pump shut-off, or rapid column separation, while ensuring the automatic intake and discharge of air during system charging and emptying cycles. Manufactured from post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C in agate grey RAL 7038), it exhibits high chemical resistance and exceptional mechanical rigidity across an elevated operating temperature range up to 80 degrees Celsius.

Internally, the Type 595 valve features a precision-moulded closing cone and a stainless steel spring element coated with HALAR (ECTFE). This specialized fluoropolymer coating provides continuous chemical isolation from corrosive chemical fumes, aggressive acids, alkalis, and salt solutions. The valve is equipped with a robust protective cap designed to prevent dirt, debris, and atmospheric contaminants from entering the valve mechanism: glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) is utilized for nominal sizes DN10 through DN50, while durable polyoxymethylene (POM) is specified for larger sizes from DN65 through DN100. Sealing options include high-grade EPDM or FKM elastomers, ensuring chemical compatibility across chemical processing, surface treatment, semiconductor manufacturing, and industrial water treatment installations.

Connection to the pipeline is achieved through standard metric solvent cement sockets conforming to ISO 727 and DIN 8079 / DIN 8080. The compact face-to-face installation dimensions and radial assembly enable rapid integration, maintenance, and seal replacement without dismantling adjacent piping sections.
