The Georg Fischer 45-degree PVC-U tee is an industrial fitting engineered for directional branching and smooth flow diversion in metric pressure piping systems. Designed with an oblique 45-degree lateral branch, this component significantly reduces hydraulic turbulence, vortex generation, and localized pressure loss compared to standard 90-degree tees. It is engineered for process piping, pump discharge lines, and distribution networks where energy efficiency and optimal fluid dynamics are primary technical requirements.

Manufactured from unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) in standard grey (RAL 7011), the fitting provides high mechanical rigidity and complete immunity to chemical and electrochemical corrosion. The inert thermoplastic material exhibits broad compatibility with aggressive media, including inorganic acids, alkalis, and saline solutions. Rated for PN10 or PN6 nominal operating pressure depending on dimensions, it delivers dependable service at a reference temperature of 20°C and accommodates thermal conditions up to 45°C to 60°C under standard industrial derating guidelines.

Connection is achieved through solvent cement socket jointing in accordance with metric pipe standards. Precision-moulded sockets provide an optimal interference fit and uniform cement distribution, establishing permanent, homogeneous bonds when joined with solvent adhesives such as Tangit PVC-U or Tangit DTX. The fitting is suited for industrial water treatment, chemical processing, potable water distribution, swimming pool installations, and pressurized irrigation loops.
