Operating across an extended 180 degrees actuation angle, the valve features a high-visibility calibrated scale on the index plate that allows fine-tuning and micro-dosing adjustments far surpassing conventional quarter-turn ball valves. Flow regulation is governed by an engineered metering ball contour supported by chemically inert PTFE ball seats and robust FKM backing seals, delivering smooth operating torque and dependable leak-tight isolation. Rated for continuous operating pressures up to PN10 (10 bar), the unit provides calibrated kv flow values of 11 l/min for d16 (DN10) and 20 l/min for d20 (DN15) at a differential pressure of 1 bar. The body integrates robust stainless steel mounting inserts with M6 female threads spaced at 25 mm, enabling secure installation onto structural brackets and skids without inducing mechanical stresses into the plastic pipeline. Configured with metric socket fusion connections, the valve enables permanent jointing via standard socket welding techniques. Its true-union double union nut design permits swift radial installation and maintenance, with the face-to-face z-dimension, end connectors, and union nuts maintaining full backwards compatibility with legacy Type 523 installations. Operating reliably within a temperature band of -20 degrees C to +140 degrees C, the valve exhibits superior chemical resistance against aggressive acids, solvents, demineralized water, and pharmaceutical grade purified media, maintaining precise dosing stability under demanding industrial conditions.
