The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard flange adaptor SDR33 is engineered for high-integrity flanged transitions in industrial polyvinylidene fluoride piping systems conveying aggressive chemicals and high-purity fluids. Injection-moulded from premium PVDF thermoplastic, the adaptor exhibits outstanding resistance to severe chemical attack, including oxidizing acids, non-oxidizing acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and salts, maintaining full structural reliability across a wide thermal spectrum from -20 degrees to +140 degrees Celsius. Designed for SDR33 pipelines rated at PN10 nominal pressure, the fitting incorporates a precision-machined serrated jointing face that optimizes gasket retention and ensures uniform surface contact pressure when coupled with metric backing flanges, preventing media leakage and cold-flow creep under cyclic thermal conditions. The butt fusion spigot provides full compatibility with standard butt fusion, infrared (IR Plus), and bead-and-crevice-free (BCF Plus) welding technologies, yielding smooth welded transitions devoid of contamination pockets or dead zones. Featuring an interior surface finish with a roughness value of Ra under 0.5 micrometres, the adaptor prevents particulate build-up and biofilm formation in purified water, deionized water, and chemical dosing applications.
