Manufactured by Georg Fischer for high-purity and aggressive chemical process systems, the SYGEF Standard Lug-style butterfly valve type 243 pneumatic FC provides automated, fail-safe quarter-turn flow isolation across pipe diameters from d63 mm to d315 mm (DN50 to DN300). Built with a rugged, glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene housing (PP-GF30) featuring integrated grade 316 stainless steel threaded lug inserts, this valve ensures secure bolting and permits direct end-of-line termination as well as bi-directional isolation without requiring a downstream mating flange. The wetted valve disc and core internal components are constructed from high-grade polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), delivering outstanding resistance against concentrated acids, oxidizing media, halogens, and high-purity deionized water over a broad operating temperature span from -20 degrees Celsius to 140 degrees Celsius. Premium FKM elastomeric liners provide tight, bubble-tight shutoff and dynamic sealing under demanding industrial cycles. Actuation is driven by a compact, high-efficiency pneumatic actuator configured in a Fail Safe to Close (FC) operational mode with a 90 degrees rotary stroke, automatically driving the valve into a tightly sealed closed position via spring-force in the event of pilot air loss or power interruption. With face-to-face dimensions compliant with EN 558 and ISO 5752 alongside flange connection dimensions aligned with ISO 7005 PN10, EN 1092 PN10, and DIN 2501 PN10, the assembly integrates seamlessly into standard metric industrial piping. Optional valve-integrated position feedback units equipped with inductive limit switches can be mounted directly for continuous supervisory control.
