The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard check valve type 561 is an engineered non-return valve designed for vertical industrial piping installations handling aggressive chemical media and high-purity process fluids. Operating without an internal return spring, the valve functions through gravitational reset and backpressure acting on an advanced, flow-optimized cone that is double guided along its central axis to eliminate tilting, mechanical binding, and chatter. Hermetic shut-off sealing is reliably achieved with a minimum water column of 2 meters, ensuring strict backflow prevention and pump protection. The aerodynamically refined internal profile provides smooth hydrodynamic flow characteristics and remains vibration free even at high flow velocities. Constructed from high-grade polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) equipped with chemical-resistant FKM seals, the assembly delivers outstanding resistance against aggressive acids, solvents, and oxidizing agents across a broad thermal range spanning from -20 degrees Celsius up to +140 degrees Celsius. Designed for a maximum pressure rating of 16 bar (PN16) across the full d16 to d63 mm (DN10 to DN50) dimension range, this valve features metric socket fusion spigots for permanent, homogeneous jointing using standard socket welding machinery. The compact structural layout mirrors the standardized face-to-face installation length of the Type 546 ball valve line, allowing modular interchangeability in industrial plant layouts.
