Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus stop-off saddle with PE adaptor engineered in PE100 SDR11 provides a reliable electrofusion solution for isolation, bypass operations, and temporary or permanent line stop-off procedures in pressurized gas and water utility networks. Designed for pipeline mains spanning d63 mm to d400 mm, this specialized electrofusion saddle is rated for operating pressures up to 16 bar for water applications and 10 bar for combustible gas systems. The assembly is supplied as an integrated kit featuring an electrofusion saddle body, a dedicated PE stop-off adaptor with a G 2 3/4" thread connection, and an internal PE stop-off insert designed to accommodate standard pipe-stopping tooling through a maximum passage of 50 mm. The unit incorporates standard 4 mm terminal pin connectors compatible with universal electrofusion control units, alongside integrated limited-path fusion indicators that provide clear visual confirmation of correct energy input and joint completion during the welding sequence. For pipe diameters up to d250 mm, the system includes a matching lower part to ensure secure radial clamping around the pipe circumference during fusion, while larger dimensions from d280 mm to d400 mm are engineered for mechanical Top Load clamping tools, allowing versatile trench installation on extensive distribution mains. Manufactured from high-grade PE100 resin, the saddle ensures complete corrosion immunity, excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking, and exceptional hydraulic integrity across long-term underground service lives.
