The Georg Fischer Type 167 electrically actuated 3-way ball valve is an industrial distribution and mixing solution engineered for automated chemical processing, water treatment facilities, and process cooling loops. Built upon the robust Type 543 Pro horizontal T-port valve architecture with a high-grade unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) body, this unit delivers dependable multi-port fluid diversion at an operating pressure rating of 10 bar (PN10). The valve allows efficient diverting, mixing, or total flow passage across three ports, factory-configured with a basic position of A-B-C open and an activated position of B-C open over a 90 degrees operating range.

Actuation is driven by a compact, high-efficiency 24V AC/DC electric motor actuator designed for severe industrial environments. The actuator includes an integrated heating element to prevent condensation inside the housing during ambient temperature cycling, as well as optical and electrical position feedback covering open, closed, and intermediate states. While the factory setting provides a standard 90 degrees stroke between positions, internal adjustable limit switches allow commissioning engineers to calibrate custom switching angles to meet specific system operational profiles. Integrated stainless steel mounting inserts (AISI 316L / V2A) in the valve body ensure solid mechanical fixing without transferring mechanical pipeline stresses onto the thermoplastic casing.

Manufactured from high-grade PVC-U with low surface roughness, the valve resists inorganic acids, alkalis, and aggressive salts, maintaining chemical inertness across industrial media within a temperature operating window up to 45 degrees Celsius. The unit features precision PTFE ball seats and chemical-resistant sealing for continuous smooth operation and low operating torque. Available across metric diameters from 16 mm up to 63 mm (DN10 to DN50) with solvent cement socket connections, the Type 167 can also be equipped with modular field upgrades, including a fail-safe battery return unit, position controller (4-20 mA / 0-10 V), process monitoring board, or Profibus DP communication interface.
