Built as an all-inclusive pre-insulated valve package, the assembly comprises a proven type 567 wafer butterfly valve manufactured with an unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) disc and housing, long-life EPDM elastomeric sealing components, welded PE100 SDR11 spigot ends, polypropylene-steel composite backing flanges, corrosion-resistant fastening bolts, and precisely fitted insulation half shells. Flow regulation is actuated via a multi-position manual hand lever featuring integrated ratchet settings that secure reproducible opening angles for balanced hydraulic circuit control while guarding against inadvertent shift during high line turbulence. Designed for a nominal operating pressure rating of PN10, the non-metallic wetted path eliminates interior incrustation, scaling, and electrochemical oxidation, ensuring consistently low operating torque, dependable bi-directional tight shut-off, and low pressure loss over decades of continuous operation. The exterior vapor-tight insulation shell encases the complete flanged body assembly to form an unbroken thermal barrier, preventing ambient moisture intrusion and surface condensation while maintaining superior thermal efficiency without requiring messy on-site insulation wrapping.
