The Georg Fischer metric PVC-C end cap closes a pipe run with a permanent or test dead-end termination in demanding industrial process systems. It is rated PN16 at 20 degrees and is available from d16 mm to d160 mm, giving a pressure-tight, leak-free closure on lines carrying aggressive chemical media and hot process fluids. Moulded in chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) in Agate Grey RAL 7038, the cap offers higher thermal and mechanical stability than unplasticised PVC-U systems. Post-chlorination of the polymer allows continuous service up to 80 degrees under pressure. The material is inherently flame retardant and resists concentrated inorganic acids, strong alkaline solutions and salts, including heavy-duty chemical lines such as sulfuric acid distribution.

The calibrated metric socket is made for solvent cement jointing: with an approved PVC-C cement the connection cold-welds chemically into a homogeneous, leak-proof bond. Socket depth and internal taper follow the ISO 727 and ISO 15493 dimensional standards, so the cap mates with metric industrial PVC-C pipe to DIN 8079 and DIN 8080 over the full diameter range. The wall thickness is dimensioned to absorb pressure surges, thermal cycling and hydrostatic test loads.
