Water meter chamber bilayer insulated HDPE D500-D1000

This bilayer HDPE water meter access chamber is an engineered underground enclosure developed for utility metering points, potable water connections, and municipal distribution networks. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene (PEHD) with an insulated double-wall structure, the chamber provides thermal protection to shield water meters and isolating valves from freezing temperatures. The inert polyethylene body provides total resistance to soil chemicals, aggressive groundwater, and corrosion, ensuring an operational lifetime exceeding 50 years.

Watertightness against groundwater infiltration is achieved via durable elastomer gaskets, keeping the internal compartment dry and serviceable. In standard configuration, the chamber includes an A15 polyethylene cover equipped with an integrated air-cushion chamber. This design creates an effective thermal barrier against frost penetration while offering mechanical strength for pedestrian areas. For roadway or traffic installations, heavy-duty covers certified to class C250 or D400 are available upon request.

Supplied by BigWeld for utility piping networks, these chambers are available in diameters of 500 mm, 800 mm, and 1000 mm, with depths of 800 mm, 1200 mm, and 1400 mm. Variants include D500 - H800, D500 - H1200, and D800 - H1200. Units can be supplied unequipped or pre-equipped with fittings and shut-off valves (excluding meter). The lightweight PEHD structure allows rapid handling and straightforward installation on site.
