2-inch cast iron wide range reduced duckfoot restraint.

WAGA Wide Range Reduced Duckfoot Bend PN16

Thread: 2" Material: Cast Iron

Data Sheet |   Product Range | Instructional Video

The WAGA wide-range reduced duckfoot restraint bend is an engineered pipe fitting designed for durable underground and aboveground transitions in municipal and industrial distribution pipelines. Specifically configured for connecting hydrants, vertical risers, and utility branch lines to main networks carrying potable water or natural gas, this reduced duckfoot elbow provides structural footing support alongside high-performance tensile restraint. Built to absorb mechanical stress and ground settlement, it features a 2-inch threaded outlet branch alongside wide-tolerance socket ends that accommodate outside pipe diameters ranging across diverse pipeline materials.

Manufactured by Georg Fischer Waga N.V. from robust ductile cast iron EN-GJS-450-10 (GGG 45 acc. to EN 1563), the fitting body provides high tensile strength (minimum 450 N/mm²) and impact resistance. Corrosion protection is delivered through a factory-applied Resicoat RT 9000 R4 fusion-bonded epoxy powder coating with a minimum thickness of 250 micrometres (GSK certified), offering superior resistance against cathodic disbondment, soil chemicals, and aggressive media across pH 2 to pH 13. High-grade stainless steel fasteners treated with anti-friction Lubo dry lubrication coating ensure smooth installation torque without galling or cold-welding.

The integrated Uni/Fiks progressive mechanical restraint gripping mechanism utilises AISI 316 (A4) stainless steel teeth embedded in POM wedge segments. This creates full end-load restraint on PE, PVC-U, ductile iron, grey cast iron, steel, and AC pipes without requiring external concrete thrust blocks. Each socket allows an angular deflection of up to 8 degrees, providing essential pipeline flexibility and compensating for misaligned pipe entries. Suitable for operating pressures of PN10 and PN16, this duckfoot bend guarantees long-term sealing integrity and maintenance-free operation across potable water and gas utility infrastructures.
