Ventilation End Pipe
The ventilation end pipe is an engineered roof terminal fitting designed for the atmospheric termination of vertical soil and waste discharge stacks in gravity drainage systems. Manufactured from high-grade unplasticised polypropylene (PP) in accordance with SR EN 1451-1/2 and standard SF98/2017, the terminal prevents pressure differentials within the internal drainage network by equalising air pressures during waste discharge cycles. By maintaining open bidirectional airflow, it effectively eliminates negative siphonage that compromises water trap seals, while safely venting sewer gases into the external atmosphere. The aerodynamic protective cowl prevents the ingress of rainwater, wind-driven precipitation, foreign debris, and birds, ensuring unobstructed cross-sectional ventilation year-round. Engineered to integrate directly onto standard DN50, DN75, or DN110 socketed PP drainage pipes (HTEM), the component relies on precision spigot push-fit geometry that allows seamless, adhesive-free assembly with long-life elastomeric (EPDM) sealing gaskets. The high-performance polypropylene formulation exhibits exceptional chemical inertia across a broad pH range of 2 to 12, resistance to aggressive atmospheric degradation, outstanding thermal stability under ambient temperature fluctuations, and resilient impact strength. Backed by an estimated operational lifespan of at least 50 years, this ventilation terminal delivers reliable passive atmospheric relief, protects indoor hygienic environments, and preserves drainage hydraulic efficiency across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
