Industrial PVC-U ventilation pipe is engineered for the extraction and conveyance of aggressive chemical fumes, toxic vapours and contaminated exhaust air. Manufactured from unplasticised polyvinyl chloride in dark grey RAL 7011, this thin-walled ducting is a durable, lightweight alternative to metallic ductwork that corrodes rapidly in acidic atmospheres. The metric range covers outer diameters from d110 mm to d600 mm, with wall thicknesses between 1.8 mm and 5.0 mm across 27 variants, delivering efficient airflow with minimal friction loss.

The PVC-U compound offers high resistance to inorganic acids, alkalis and saline solutions typical of chemical processing, surface treatment, pharmaceutical manufacturing and wastewater treatment plants. Technical parameters are defined at 20 degrees Celsius, and the material retains its mechanical integrity up to 60 degrees Celsius with appropriate thermal derating. Because PVC-U is immune to corrosion and scale build-up, it prevents premature duct failure, reduces maintenance interruptions and secures an extended service life in demanding ventilation installations.

Jointing is carried out by solvent cementing with metric sockets and industrial PVC-U adhesives, or by hot-gas thermoplastic welding for custom branches and transitions. Designed for low-pressure exhaust and ventilation duties, the light wall profile simplifies overhead installation. Adequate support spacing with plastic pipe clips is recommended to accommodate linear thermal expansion and to avoid mechanical deflection along horizontal duct runs.
