The Signet 2100 Turbine Flow Sensor from Georg Fischer is engineered specifically for low-flow measurement in small-diameter piping and tubing installations. Designed for demanding industrial dosing, chemical batching, and high-purity fluid handling, this precision instrument delivers reliable flow monitoring across two operational ranges: 0.3 to 3.8 litres per minute and 3 to 38 litres per minute (0.1 to 1 gpm and 0.8 to 10 gpm). The injection-molded PVDF body construction provides outstanding chemical resistance against aggressive acids, bases, and solvents, preventing process contamination while maintaining structural integrity under continuous industrial exposure.
Equipped with precision ceramic bearings, the internal rotor mechanism ensures minimal rotational friction, high repeatability, and extended service life in corrosive environments. The sensor assembly incorporates union connections for effortless inline installation, removal, and maintenance without disrupting adjacent piping. The unit adapts to DN8 (1/4 in.), DN10 (3/8 in.), and DN15 (1/2 in.) flexible tubing, as well as DN15 (1/2 in.) rigid piping systems. End connector configurations include PVDF hose barb, socket fusion, and infrared or butt fusion fittings, alongside PVC solvent cement socket and NPT threaded options. A removable NEMA 4X electronics enclosure shields internal circuitry from moisture and harsh chemical vapors, allowing fast field servicing without breaking the hydraulic seal.
Operating within a 5 to 24 V DC power envelope at a maximum current consumption of 1.5 mA, the Signet 2100 integrates seamlessly with Georg Fischer automation equipment, including Signet 8900, 9900, 9900-1BC, and 9950 multi-parameter transmitters. Rated for a maximum working pressure of 16 bar at 20 degrees C (232 psi at 68 degrees F), this turbine sensor provides precision flow monitoring for chemical dosing skids, water treatment, semiconductor fabrication, and critical industrial batch processes.
