Georg Fischer SYGEF ECTFE end caps deliver secure, permanent pipeline termination within demanding high-purity and aggressive chemical distribution systems. Manufactured from high-grade ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE) fluoropolymer, the component provides outstanding resistance to concentrated chemicals, strong acids, alkalis, oxidising agents, and high-purity industrial fluids, preventing degradation and medium contamination across harsh operational environments. Dimensioned in Standard Dimension Ratio SDR21 with a nominal working pressure class of PN10 (10 bar), the end cap features an elongated spigot geometry optimized for both conventional butt fusion and contactless infrared (IR) fusion jointing. IR fusion ensures precise, automated heat distribution without direct tool contact, preventing surface contamination, minimizing internal bead formation, and maintaining smooth, uncompromised process flow characteristics up to the terminal end. Specifically designed for full dimensional and thermal compatibility with SYGEF ECTFE pipes and fittings, the end cap covers metric outer diameters from d20 mm (DN15) up to d110 mm (DN100), with precisely controlled wall thicknesses and insertion lengths. By creating a fully homogeneous, fused seal, this fitting eliminates the potential leak paths, localized stresses, and dead-leg crevices typical of mechanical caps or threaded plugs, guaranteeing long-term pressure retention and containment integrity.
