The Georg Fischer Signet 2610 RDO Pro is an optical dissolved oxygen sensor for precise, continuous monitoring in industrial process water and water treatment installations. It measures dissolved oxygen by optical luminescence, so no oxygen is consumed at the measuring surface: there are no electrolyte filling solutions and no membranes to replace. The robust measurement cap arrives pre-calibrated from the factory, which removes routine field calibration and lowers operating cost. The measuring range is 0 to 20 mg/L with an accuracy within 2 % of range, delivering stable, drift-free data.

Because the optical principle does not deplete oxygen, the sensor works without a minimum flow requirement and performs dependably in aeration basins, low-flow channels, stagnant tanks and piping systems. The optical cap resists abrasion and photobleaching and offers an operating life of at least one year under demanding continuous service in municipal wastewater, industrial effluent and aquaculture facilities.

Connectivity is integrated into the sensor assembly: an active 4 to 20 mA current loop and Modbus RS485 serial communication are available together, allowing direct integration into PLCs, SCADA networks and automation controllers without an external transmitter. The sensor ships with a factory-attached 10 m cable with stripped and tinned conductors for direct wiring into the control panel. An integrated titanium thermistor provides fast, automatic temperature compensation while resisting corrosion in saline and aggressive media. The 2610 interfaces with plant instrumentation, including the Georg Fischer Signet 9900 Transmitter.

Supplied by BigWeld, an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, this optical dissolved oxygen sensor combines high accuracy, rugged construction and long-term operating economy in industrial water treatment and wastewater monitoring.
