Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) metric ABS pressure pipe rated PN16 provides reliable fluid conveyance in chilled water circuits, industrial cooling plants and water treatment installations. It is manufactured to EN 15493 from high-quality acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and covers outside diameters d20 and d25 at a nominal pressure of 16 bar at 20 degrees C. The silver-grey material (RAL 7001) retains its impact strength over a wide temperature span, which suits HVAC distribution, process lines, marine duty and drinking water networks. As an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, BigWeld supplies these ABS pipes with plain ends in standard 5,000 mm lengths for clean alignment in modern piping systems.

Both d20 and d25 share a 2.3 mm wall thickness, giving internal diameters of 15.4 mm and 20.4 mm respectively. Linear weights of 0.152 kg/m (d20) and 0.195 kg/m (d25) keep handling and bracket-mounted installation straightforward compared with metal systems. The smooth bore prevents scaling and encrustation, so pressure losses stay low and both hydraulic throughput and pump energy consumption remain stable over the service life of the network.

Jointing is by solvent cement, producing a permanent chemical weld between the pipe spigot and the metric fittings without heat, open flame or electrical welding equipment. Surfaces are prepared with Tangit cleaner and bonded with Tangit ABS solvent cement, giving leak-tight joints able to sustain the continuous 16 bar working pressure.
