The Georg Fischer Fuseal Fast-Lock P-Trap with Union Connection 1 1/2" is an engineered polypropylene flame retardant (PPFR) drainage fitting designed for corrosive chemical waste, laboratory drainage, and industrial DWV networks. Engineered to prevent hazardous sewer gases and volatile fumes from escaping into occupied spaces while maintaining an effective liquid seal, the unit incorporates an integrated union connection that enables rapid disassembly, internal inspection, and routine maintenance without cutting the piping run. Built with the compact Fuseal Fast-Lock mechanical joint collar system, this fitting eliminates solvent cement, open flames, toxic chemical emissions, and lengthy curing periods, providing immediate hydrostatic pressure testing capability and operation upon joint makeup. The mechanical joint collar requires only a standard 8 mm socket driver or cordless tool calibrated with a torque limiter, completely doing away with pipe grooving or proprietary tooling. Fully modular in construction, the Fast-Lock collar configuration is interchangeable with Georg Fischer Fuseal electrofusion collars, facilitating seamless transitions between mechanical and welded piping segments. Rated for an operating pressure of 35 psi (2.4 bar), the trap handles intermittent vacuum and pumped drainage cycles without compromising seal integrity. The robust flame-retardant polypropylene construction resists corrosive attacks from aggressive acids, bases, alcohols, solvents, and aqueous salt solutions, preventing rust, pitting, scaling, and electrolytic degradation. Heat-stabilized and UV-resistant for exposed above-grade installations, the fitting operates continuously up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) with intermittent temperature surges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), delivering outstanding durability across hospitals, universities, pharmaceutical facilities, and chemical processing plants.
