The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus PE100 duobloc tapping saddle (d63–225mm / SDR11) with 360 degrees rotatable outlet and integrated Gas Stop system is engineered for live gas main tapping without interrupting utility network service. Manufactured from 100% virgin PE100 resin approved by the PE100+ Association, this high-integrity electrofusion fitting operates within a nominal pressure range of 1 to 5 bar for natural gas distribution. The integrated Pipelife Gas-Stop safety unit (available in GS 20/1, GS 32/1, and GS 63/1 UE configurations) acts as an automatic excess flow shut-off device, instantly halting downstream gas flow in the event of pipe damage or rupture during excavation works.

This modular electrofusion tapping saddle system incorporates standardized 4 mm electrical pin connectors, limited path fusion indicators for visual weld verification, and an embedded heating coil with optimal thermal transfer geometry. The 360 degrees rotatable spigot outlet provides exceptional jobsite flexibility, allowing installers to align branch lines in any required angular orientation prior to electrofusion welding. The unit features an integrated brass/PE cutter mechanism with internal stops, an O-ring-sealed threaded top cap for reliable leak-tight secondary sealing, and ships complete with the lower clamping saddle piece for rapid mechanical pre-positioning across main pipe diameters from d63 mm to d225 mm.

Engineered according to EN 1555-3 gas distribution standards and manufactured under certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems, the ELGEF Plus modular tapping saddle offers full Track & Trace capability via standardized barcode scanning. The fitting accommodates main polyethylene pipes in SDR 9 through SDR 26 depending on pipe diameter, ensuring durable, corrosion-free performance with an estimated design lifetime of 100 years in underground gas infrastructure.
