The SYGEF Type 565L lug-style butterfly valve is engineered for demanding fluid control, isolation, and throttling applications across chemical processing, water treatment, and high-purity industrial piping systems. Manufactured by Georg Fischer and supplied across Europe by BigWeld, an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, this actuated valve combines a high-purity polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) disc with an exceptionally rigid glass-fiber reinforced polyamide (PA-GF) housing. Designed for intermediate clamping or terminal end-of-line service under full differential pressure, the Lug body features threaded inserts that allow downstream piping disassembly without depressurizing the upstream process line. The valve covers metric dimensions from d63 mm up to d225 mm, providing dependable performance at an operating pressure rating of 10 bar (PN10).

Automated actuation is delivered by a high-performance 24V AC/DC electric actuator factory-configured for an operating range of 0 to 90 degrees. The actuator incorporates optical position indication, integrated open, close, and middle position feedback switches, and an internal anti-condensation heating element that safeguards the electronics in humid or fluctuating temperature environments. An ergonomic manual override mechanism ensures emergency operational control during power interruptions or commissioning routines. The actuator housing provides high ingress protection, ensuring long-term reliability in aggressive industrial atmospheres where airborne corrosives or moisture are prevalent.

With its virgin PVDF disc, the valve exhibits outstanding chemical inertness against aggressive media, including concentrated oxidizing acids, non-oxidizing acids, halogens, and salt solutions, functioning reliably within a broad temperature span of -20 degrees Celsius up to +140 degrees Celsius. Available with premium EPDM or FKM seal configurations, the unit guarantees bubble-tight bi-directional shut-off per international standards. The assembly integrates seamlessly into modern plastic piping installations, offering dimensional compatibility with PROGEF, ecoFIT, COOL-FIT, PVC-U, PVC-C, and ABS systems.
