The ELGEF Plus 11-degree bend in PE100 SDR11 is an engineered directional fitting manufactured by Georg Fischer for high-integrity industrial fluid networks, utility water distribution, and underground pipeline installations. Formed directly from high-density polyethylene seamless pipe, this 11° directional component provides a smooth angular transition that minimises localized turbulence and reduces head loss across critical piping sections. Designed to operate at an operating pressure rating of PN16 bar for water applications and up to 10 bar for gas conveyance, it delivers outstanding structural resistance, impact toughness, and chemical endurance against aggressive media and corrosive soil environments.

Engineered with a long spigot configuration and a standard bend radius of 1.5×d (R = 1.5 × outer diameter), the fitting ensures optimal hydraulic flow dynamics while maintaining uniform wall thickness throughout the curve geometry. The spigot ends conform fully to standard PE100 pipe dimensions, enabling seamless compatibility with both electrofusion couplers and conventional butt fusion welding procedures. This dual compatibility provides complete flexibility on-site, allowing installers to execute high-strength, leak-tight joints using Georg Fischer electrofusion fittings or direct butt fusion equipment in trench or open-field scenarios.

Covering an extensive sizing range from outer diameter d32 mm up to d900 mm (nominal diameters DN25 through DN900), this SDR11 fitting accommodates wall thicknesses ranging from 2.9 mm up to 81.8 mm. In accordance with Georg Fischer manufacturing specifications and technical standards, bends fabricated from seamless PE100 pipe must never be cut or shortened on-site, as modifying the spigot length alters stress distribution and compromises fusion integrity.
