The BLUCAST PN16 ductile iron blind flange is engineered for reliable, permanent or temporary end-capping and positive isolation in municipal water distribution, industrial utility piping, and civil infrastructure. Manufactured from high-grade EN-GJS-500-7 spheroidal graphite ductile iron in accordance with EN 1092-2 flange dimensions, these blind flanges provide superior mechanical strength, pressure containment up to 16 bar (PN16), and structural rigidity for pipeline blanking and pressure testing operations across nominal diameters from DN200 to DN500.

Surface protection is achieved through an automated electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum layer thickness of 250 µm in sky blue RAL 5015. This heavy-duty epoxy barrier delivers complete corrosion resistance against aggressive soil environments and internal fluid attack. The coating system holds WRAS certification for direct contact with potable water and complies with rigorous hygiene standards, maintaining water quality without chemical leaching. Operating temperature capability ranges from 0 to 80 degrees C, supporting neutral liquids, treated wastewater, and potable distribution networks.

Engineered with precision-drilled bolt holes matching standard EN 1092-2 PN16 patterns, the blind flanges integrate seamlessly with flanged gate valves, dismantling joints, tees, and pipe spools. They ensure 100% leak-tight sealing when paired with standard EPDM flat gaskets or profiled flange gaskets, evenly distributing bolt torque without risk of flange distortion or micro-cracking under hydrostatic test conditions.
