The ELGEF Plus 11 degree bend is a long-version spigot fitting from Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems), produced in PE100 to SDR17 and rated PN10 bar on water. The body is fabricated from seamless PE100 pipe rather than injection moulded, so the wall runs continuously through the curve, and the range covers 21 sizes from d90 to d1000mm (DN80 to DN1000). Both spigot ends suit electrofusion couplers and conventional butt fusion, so the same fitting serves machine-welded mains as well as tie-ins and repairs where an electrofusion coupler is the only practical option.

Geometry follows the 1.5 x d radius used across the seamless ELGEF Plus bend family: bend radius R from 135mm at d90 up to 1500mm at d1000, z dimension from 160 to 1200mm and leg length L from 100 to 450mm. Wall thickness rises from 5.4mm on d90 to 59.3mm on d1000, matching SDR17 pipe of the same diameter, so the weld faces pair without a transition piece. The wide radius keeps head loss low on an 11 degree change of direction and spreads bending stress over a long arc instead of a tight moulded corner.

Because the fitting is cut from seamless pipe, these bends must not be shortened on site: the spigot lengths are dimensioned for the heating plate or for the electrofusion coupler, and trimming them removes the fusion zone. Clean and scrape the spigot ends, align both legs in clamps and keep the fitting supported until the joint has cooled. PE100 in SDR17 delivers long-term chemical resistance and pressure performance in buried and above-ground water installations, where the 11 degree bend is used for gradient corrections and gentle route changes along long trench runs.
