The Georg Fischer Type 543 Pro ABS three-way ball valve is an engineered flow-control component for diverting and distribution duties in industrial cooling, chilled water and water treatment systems. Manufactured by Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) and supplied across Europe by BigWeld as an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, the valve works at a nominal pressure of PN10 over the full size range from d16 up to d63 (DN10 to DN50). Its horizontal L-port ball allows operators and process engineers to direct media between pipe runs while keeping full shut-off integrity in the closed position.

The body is moulded entirely in acrylonitrile butadiene styrene in standard gravel grey, combining high impact strength at low operating temperatures with dependable chemical resistance to cooling water additives and secondary refrigerants. Sealing is handled by low-friction, chemical-resistant PTFE ball seats working against high-grade EPDM backing seals. Integrated stainless steel threaded inserts in the valve base allow rigid, stress-free anchoring to pipe brackets or mounting plates without introducing mechanical stress into the ABS thermoplastic body.

The unit supports full 360 degrees manual rotation and includes an integrated 90 degrees turn limiter for precise position indication and indexing. For automated process control it interfaces directly with Georg Fischer EA25 electric actuators rated 100 to 230 volts at 50 to 60 Hz, which carry an integrated heating element against condensation in chilled environments plus optical and electrical position feedback for supervisory control.

Z-length and geometry remain fully compatible with legacy Georg Fischer Type 543 and Type 546 modular union ends, which simplifies retrofits and routine maintenance on existing industrial skids. The true-union construction allows rapid disassembly and seal replacement without dismantling the adjacent ABS solvent cement pipework.
