The Georg Fischer Type 565 PE wafer butterfly valve with double-acting pneumatic actuator provides automated isolation and modulating flow control in large-diameter thermoplastic piping. Configured for metric dimensions d355 and d400, the wafer body combines high flow capacity with low operating torque and mounts directly between flanges in ecoFIT polyethylene, PROGEF polypropylene, COOL-FIT pre-insulated, ABS and PVC systems, with full corrosion immunity in wet and chemical service.

The factory-fitted double-acting actuator rotates the disc through 0 to 90 degrees in 5 to 6 seconds at a nominal control pressure of 5.6 bar, giving fast and repeatable cycle times for process automation. The polyethylene body and resilient EPDM liner maintain bi-directional bubble-tight shut-off up to 10 bar (PN10), while the optimised disc contour keeps pressure loss across the port low in high-volume transfer lines.

Face-to-face dimensions follow EN 558 row 20 and ISO 5752 row 20, so the valve interchanges directly with existing metallic or composite valves without pipeline modification. The top mounting flange complies with ISO 5211, giving a rigid mechanical coupling between stem and actuator and simplifying actuator service, positioner mounting or limit switch integration.
