The Georg Fischer wafer check valve type 369 PVC-U is an engineered backflow prevention component designed for direct sandwich mounting between industrial piping flanges. Engineered for high operational safety in demanding chemical processing, industrial utilities, and water treatment infrastructure, the valve reliably halts reverse media flow through an integrated pivoting disc mechanism. Constructed with an unplasticized polyvinyl chloride body and disc, the design offers exceptional chemical resistance against non-oxidizing acids, alkalis, salts, and diverse aqueous solutions. Sealing integrity is provided by high-grade elastomeric seals, available in EPDM or FKM configurations, achieving dependable tight shutoff with a minimum water column of two meters. The valve functions efficiently in both horizontal and vertical pipeline layouts, opening smoothly under minimal differential pressure to minimize energy loss across the system. Depending on operational process demands, the valve can be deployed without a spring or fitted with an optional return spring made of V4A grade 316 stainless steel or Hastelloy C to accelerate disc closing and prevent fluid reversal shock. Integrated supporting eyelets located on the valve perimeter significantly streamline installation and alignment between mating pipe flanges, serving as practical aids for accurate centering. With its compact wafer body profile, the valve eliminates the excessive length and heavy support requirements typical of conventional check assemblies, maximizing usable layout space and ensuring robust, maintenance-free unidirectional flow control throughout industrial installations.
