The ELGEF Plus 45 degrees equal tee from Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) is a PE100 spigot fitting for pressurised polyethylene networks. In SDR11 it covers water distribution up to 16 bar and gas distribution up to 10 bar, and it is produced from d50 to d110 (DN40 to DN100), with the wall thickness rising from 4.6 mm at d50 to 10.0 mm at d110 so the body matches the pressure class of the pipe it is welded into.

The 45 degrees branch replaces the abrupt takeoff of a 90 degrees tee wherever a service line or a secondary main has to leave the run at a shallow angle — typical of connections made in congested trenches, at road crossings or inside chambers, where the branch direction is changed without adding a separate elbow. This is the long version: the laying dimension z runs from 218 to 397 mm, the branch dimension z1 from 139 to 260 mm and the spigot length L from 56 to 90 mm across the range, leaving enough parallel pipe for electrofusion couplers to be seated, clamped and fused on all three ends.

All three ends are plain spigots, so the tee is jointed either with electrofusion couplers or directly by butt fusion where the welding machine is available on site.
