The PVC-U double socket coupler with stop SN8 SDR 34 is an engineered push-fit pipe joining component designed for underground gravity sewer systems and meteoric water drainage networks outside building footprints. Manufactured from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride via precision injection moulding, this heavy-duty sewer fitting features an SN8 ring stiffness rating (8 kN/m², SDR 34), making it fully capable of sustaining severe underground static earth loads and intense dynamic traffic loading at installation depths ranging up to 6 meters. The fitting incorporates a symmetrical double socket configuration equipped with an integrated internal center stop, which acts as a positive depth register to guarantee exact, balanced insertion and alignment of plain pipe spigots across diameters from 160 mm to 400 mm. Hermetic, leak-free jointing is achieved through factory-seated elastomeric EPDM lip gaskets housed within precision-profiled retaining grooves at each socket, maintaining continuous hydraulic sealing even when subjected to permissible pipeline movement, soil shifting, or ground settling. Chemically resilient and non-conductive, the robust PVC-U body withstands aggressive soil conditions, groundwater exposure, and harsh effluent streams carrying acidic or basic chemical compounds across a wide pH range of 2 to 12, operating reliably at standard effluent temperatures up to 40 degrees Celsius with intermittent peaks reaching 60 degrees Celsius. The ultra-smooth inner passage prevents internal deposition, sediment accumulation, and encrustation, ensuring uninterrupted flow dynamics and long-term maintenance-free operation across municipal, residential, industrial, and agricultural drainage infrastructures.
