The PVC-U three-socket branch 45 degrees and 87 degrees SN8 (SDR 34) is an engineered thermoplastic fitting designed for branching and directional transitions within underground gravitational drainage and buried non-pressure external sewerage networks. Suitable for municipal sewer infrastructure, residential developments, and industrial wastewater or rainwater drainage installations located outside building foundations, it accommodates burial conditions subjected to heavy traffic loading. Configured with three precision-moulded push-fit sockets, the fitting permits direct interconnection of spigot-ended pipe lengths without supplementary couplers, streamlining civil assembly while maintaining high joint stability across the pipeline run. Factory-installed elastomeric EPDM lip seals retained within profiled socket grooves establish airtight and watertight connections capable of accommodating ground movement and thermal expansion without loss of seal integrity. Fabricated from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride through heavy-duty injection moulding, the unit delivers certified SN8 ring stiffness (8 kN/m2) with SDR 34 wall dimensions, ensuring high resistance against structural deformation, dynamic backfill stresses, and soil overburden. The exceptionally smooth internal walls feature minimal roughness to optimize fluid velocities, maximize discharge capacities, and prevent the accumulation of solid deposits or biological encrustation. Chemically inert across a pH range from 2 to 12, the fitting resists domestic effluents, industrial chemicals, mineral salts, and aggressive subsoil environments at continuous wastewater temperatures up to 60 degrees for smaller bores or 40 degrees for larger diameters, with transient surges up to 60 degrees tolerated. Combining long-term durability with an expected operational life of over 50 years, this branch provides robust, dependable service for demanding gravity sewerage infrastructure.
