The PVC-KG SN4 end cap is an injection-moulded unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) fitting engineered to provide a durable, watertight termination for spigot pipe ends in buried gravity sewerage and rainwater drainage systems outside building footprints. Designed with an SN4 ring stiffness rating of 4 kN/m², the component provides dependable structural stability against soil overburden and dynamic loads, making it fully suitable for both SN4 and SN2 external drainage lines. The fitting features an integrated socket housing a factory-fitted elastomeric EPDM lip seal gasket, which ensures immediate, pressure-tight sealing upon push-fit installation onto smooth spigot pipe ends while accommodating thermal ground movement, axial pipe settlement, and allowable mechanical deflections without joint failure. Manufactured in standard sewer orange-brown RAL 8023, the non-plasticised formulation provides exceptional chemical resistance to domestic waste streams, caustic media, salts, and acidic compounds across a pH range from 2 to 12, as well as total immunity to subterranean corrosion and microbial degradation. The component reliably handles standard gravity effluent temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius for smaller diameters and 40 degrees Celsius continuous operation for large-bore systems, including short-term thermal peaks up to 60 degrees Celsius. Engineered for a minimum service lifespan of 50 years in non-pressure municipal, residential, and industrial wastewater networks, the TeraPlast KGK end cap delivers reliable line isolation during phased pipeline construction, hydrostatic pressure testing, and final network closure.
