The PVC-KG SN4 single socket elbow (type KGB) is an injection-moulded unplasticised polyvinyl chloride fitting designed for directional transitions in non-pressure underground gravity sewer and rainwater drainage networks outside building structures. Engineered with a nominal ring stiffness of SN4 (4 kN/m²), the fitting delivers dependable resistance against earth pressure and surface traffic loads, ensuring full operational compatibility with both SN4 and SN2 external sewer piping systems in either solid-wall compact or structured multilayer wall variants. The fitting incorporates a precision socket formed with an internal groove that holds an elastomeric EPDM synthetic rubber sealing gasket, matched with an opposing chamfered spigot end to ensure a leak-tight, push-fit connection capable of accommodating permissible axial ground shifting and minor pipeline deflections without losing sealing integrity. Available across nominal outside diameters from 110 mm up to 500 mm in configurations of 15 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees, 67 degrees, and 87 degrees, this orange fitting (RAL 8023) permits accurate layout routing across municipal, residential, commercial, and agricultural drainage schemes. Its hydraulically smooth interior wall surface boasts an exceptionally low roughness value below 0.01 mm, substantially minimising fluid friction, enhancing flow capacity, and preventing the accumulation of sediment, biofilm, or solid deposits over decades of gravitational service. The rigid PVC-U formulation provides high chemical resistance against domestic and industrial effluents across a broad pH range between 2 and 12, resisting corrosion from salts, acidic media, caustics, and aggressive surrounding soil conditions. Operating wastewater temperatures accommodate up to 60 degrees Celsius for diameters from 110 mm to 200 mm and up to 40 degrees Celsius for diameters from 250 mm to 500 mm, with short-term thermal surges permitted up to 60 degrees Celsius, yielding an expected working service life of at least 50 years.
