The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus PE100 end cap in SDR11 PN16 is an engineered spigot fitting designed for the permanent, pressure-tight termination of high-density polyethylene pipelines in potable water distribution, industrial process loops, and natural gas utility networks. Manufactured from premium virgin PE100 resin approved by the PE100+ Association, this fitting provides outstanding resistance against slow crack growth (SCG) and rapid crack propagation (RCP), ensuring a reliable working service life of at least 100 years under standard operating conditions. Operating with a nominal pressure rating of 16 bar for water and 10 bar for combustible gas, it complies fully with the strict manufacturing standards EN 12201 and EN 1555.

Configured with an extended spigot length (long version), this end cap offers maximum installation versatility across the diameter spectrum from d20 mm up to d630 mm. The generous spigot length enables secure jointing via electrofusion couplers using standard 4 mm connector pins, while also permitting conventional butt fusion welding without requiring modifications. Fittings from d20 to d315 mm are precision injection moulded, whereas large-diameter dimensions from d355 to d630 mm are fabricated to exact dimensional tolerances, with wall thicknesses spanning from 3.0 mm at d20 mm to 54.2 mm at d630 mm. For fire protection and critical infrastructure applications, sizes d90 to d315 mm carry FM 1613 certification rated at 15 bar, and d355 to d500 mm are FM-rated at 12 bar.
